Key Qualifications




  • 5 years minimum experience in software engineering and QA roles.

  • 5 years minimum experience writing automated test suites to test Unix server software.

  • 3 years minimum experience using HTTP and experience with REST APIs.

  • 3 years minimum experience with one of scripting languages: Python or Perl is preferred.

  • 5 years minimum experience working with Unix and comfortable with Unix tools like grep, bash, find, strace.

  • 3 years minimum applied QA methodology experience.

  • Ability to construct test cases from basic product information.




Description



Apple's Internet Software & Services organization is seeking an energetic and detail oriented Automation Test Engineer who will play a central role in the delivery of Big Data, Machine Learning & Search based Internet services. As a member of our fast-paced group, you’ll have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape upcoming products from Apple.



We are looking for people with experience in QA & Testing organizations who are passionate about quality and prefer to wield the power of automation to achieve leverage.



Responsibilities:

- Write automated tests for high-performance and Internet scale services.

- Write and maintain code & frameworks to verify the correctness of software.

- Build systems to do concurrency, capacity and performance testing.

- Write code to verify correctness of data.

- Participate in verification of weekly releases.

- Contribute to the quality strategy of the products.

- Work closely with multiple engineering teams to define requirements.



Education



- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.



Additional Requirements



- A strong sense of responsibility and obsession with Quality

- Proven experience in an Agile environment
