Our client is a leader in the pharmaceutical industry and has a job opening for a Manager–Master Production Planning –‘3rd Party Manufacturers’  . This is a Master Planning role involving capacity planning of various ‘3rd Party Manufacturing’ sites, vendors co packers  in a highly fast paced environment with very short lead times. The role is based in  Mississauga- Burlington area in Ontario and is responsible for selection of the ‘3rd party manufacturers’ and managing supply through them.  Experience managing selection of ‘3rd Party Manufacturers’ is a MUST; experience managing a team of 4-5 planners is a MUST.  No Exceptions

 

The Manager –Production Planning & Capacity Planning -3rd party manufacturers  will lead the Production Planning group and is fully responsible for complete supply planning, capacity planning and production planning of close to 150 SKUs with very short deadlines within very fast moving and changing consumer goods and food. You will analyze the capacity of the many vendor production facilities, allocate the SKU production, create the Master Production Plan and oversee replenishment. You will ensure that these plants have the production capacity, necessary raw materials and packaging to ensure on time supply.  You will be fully responsible for optimizing the inventory levels of the SKUs assigned. You will work very closely business to ensure new product changes, engineering changes, packaging changes are incorporates, ensure the right packaging materials are available and dis continued product packaging is phased out smoothly without disruption of product supply. You will manage the inventory of finished goods and ensure availability of packaging raw materials at each of the co-packer / 3rd party manufacturing sites.

The right candidate will have Bachelors degree (preferred) and 5 + years’ experience in Managing 3rd party manufacturing sites, raw material availability, capacity planning and Master Production Planning. Experience managing a team with at least 3 members for a minimum of 3 years is a MUST.  food, CPG (consumer packaged goods), beverage, pharmaceuticals, health and beauty . Experience servicing big box retailers, supporting retail promotions, seasonality, and short shelf life products is a very changing and high paced environment is critical. Advanced Excel skills are a MUST have. SCMP or any other supply chain planning related designations / courses is a definite asset.
