Management Accountant

Our client, a unique and interesting business based on the outskirts of Norwich, Norfolk, seek a pro-active Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting and influential role within the finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller and involves the management of a team of two full time and one part time finance staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of key Finance functions including the monthly management accounts and assisting with the annual budget and statutory financial reporting. The role would suit a part-qualified accountant seeking varied and engaging role in a rapidly evolving business.



Principal Responsibilities:



- Management and production of the annual budget and intra-year re-forecasts.

- Oversight and control of the management accounts process and production of the monthly financial performance report.

- Establish excellent working relationships with the departmental managers becoming the key contact for each manager's cost centre.

- Provide commercial support to the Financial Controller and General Manager on an ad hoc basis.

- Effectively manage the finance department providing development support ensuring a harmonious and productive team environment.



Key attributes of the successful candidate:



- A commercially aware part-qualified accountant.

- Excellent IT ability, particularly excel spreadsheets.

- Strong technical accounting expertise.

- Able to prioritise work and meet reporting deadlines.

- Positive approach to change and continuous improvement.

- Good communication and presentation skills.

- Highly organised and methodical with proven ability to work to a high standard.

- Experience of producing monthly management accounts.
