Senior Network Architect

Prestigious opportunity with a pioneering Technology Services and Solutions provider for a Senior Network Architect. As our Senior Network Architect dedicated to the architecture of connectivity and security services, researching, building and testing lab/proof of concept environments. Technical skills will be tested in a variety of challenging project scenarios, in addition to the ability to manage stakeholder expectations and conform to agreed Product Roadmap deadlines.



The successful Network Architect will be a skilled engineer with experience building and deploying service provider connectivity and security platforms.



This is a hands-on role, involving low-level configuration and deployment of carrier-grade Network and Security appliances dedicated and virtualised environments, then following up with technical and operational training/documentation.



We are seeking a combination of the following skills from our Senior Network Architect:-



* Strong routing & switching experience, in ISP and/or NSP environment.

* Strong knowledge of internet, broadband, MPLS, DC/hosting connectivity and NFV

* Expert knowledge with Cisco ASR 9K and 1K - 7600/6500 platforms, Nexus and ASA - fluent with IOS, NX-OS and IOS-XR

* An ability to proactively identify security risks and mitigate through creating active defence systems and processes to prevent exposure, including DDOS, App attacks, etc



The following knowledge would be highly advantageous but not essential:-



*Qualifications in SP, DC, Security and or Voice (CCIE, CCNP-SP/DC, CCVP, CISSP, JNCIE, JNCIP, etc.)

*Demonstrable skills in network service development

*Experience of configuring Cisco, Juniper and F5 devices

*Experience of configuring Security appliances and virtualized environments

*Knowledge of Telco Access technologies, such as LLU, GEA, FTTx, EFM, EAD, DWDM, E1, STM-1, etc.

*Understanding of other signaling/session/application protocols, such as; SS7, SIP, SSL, HTTP, SMTP, etc.
