Senior .Net Developer

HP’s Regional Delivery Centre (Adelaide) - Application Services are seeking experienced .Net Developer; you will be part of a highly skilled team which specialises in solutions and applications management support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participates as a member of development team or teams; may lead a small development team
- Designs units for others, complete development to implement complex components
- Designs, prepares and executes unit tests
- Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Web-site Development)
- Independently implements end-user or enterprise solutions complexity or services
- Provides time / resource estimates for assigned tasks and projects
- Create and maintain custom-developed maintenance tools using C#, Java or Access
- Perform Production Support and Maintenance tasks on customers Applications suite
- Resolve end users’ issues that cannot be resolved by level 1,2 or 3 support personnel
- Coordinate the resolution of problem cases, negotiating with internal Service Provider Groups and external vendors
- Plan, manage and implement configuration and code changes to test and production systems
- Recommend and raise changes to Change Management Group
- Actively monitor production environments, including log file traversal
- Work on problems and projects of moderately complex scope
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers
- On-call roster rotation availability (24 * 7 On-call support maybe required)
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Technical Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 6 years related experience or a Master’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience
- 6+ years’ experience in .NET Development
- Skills in VB.Net. ASP.Net, Classic ASP and VB6 would be advantageous
- Ability to work with Web development tools for new applications
- Sound knowledge across RDBMS databases (SQL Server, Oracle)
- Basic understanding of modern software design and development methodologies (e.g., OO, Agile)
- Strong understanding of modern SCM (software configuration management)
- Basic understanding of testing tools and unit and integration test scripting, and testing methodologies
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and with clients
