This national business is an industry leader in building products. With operations across Australia, they are now seeking a proven Business Development Manager to join their Melbourne team to grow their business first regionally then nationally.



Although the office is based in West Melbourne, you will be given the autonomy to work remotely where required. Working in conjunction with the General Manager and production team you will thrive on seeking out and delivering results selling high specification building products to boutique/residential builders, plumbing businesses and national retailers. You will consistently look to establish and convert both self-generated and office-fed leads as you work towards a pre-determined sales target, utilising the bespoke suite of products that are at your disposal. The business already has a strong customer base so the role is part business development and part account management.



Once on-board, you'll be taught the product range through leading training and have the opportunity to excel in your sales career. This role requires a seller that can understand a lead and work quickly to convert these into outcomes. Knowledge of the building industry, commercial fit out and upcoming projects will be highly regarded as you utilise your superior communication and negotiation skills to secure lucrative deals.



Applicants should be highly articulate, presentable, and have a strong focus on delivering high quality solutions to a wide range of clients. Candidates should have a passion for the building/maintenance industry ideally already with a current network. However, other technical business development professionals and junior candidates with a genuine passion for sales within the building industry are also encouraged to apply
