Product Strategy Specilist - Microsoft Evangelist

Columbus, Ohio Area, US - Computer Software, Information Technology and Services





The Product Strategy Specialist/Evangelist at Veeam is a specialized position that requires interaction with a number of different groups, both internally and externally. Evangelists focus on key areas such as community, press, analyst relations and strategic partnerships as well as interacting closely with marketing, sales and development teams to deliver the Veeam message.



Academic



Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent (a combination of education and experience will be considered).



Responsibilities



• Help Veeam build its presence in the Microsoft communities

• Build a comprehensive plan to engage the target communities (SharePoint, Exchange, SQL, etc.) thru various channels (social, email, events)

• Provide product strategy updates concerning Microsoft for key Veeam customers and partners

• Create content in the form of whitepapers and blog entries as well as help identify industry experts to author content for Veeam

• Provide regular entries on Veeam’s corporate blog site http://ift.tt/1j3aiun

• Help maintain Veeam’s community presence on Twitter (@Veeam)

• Speak at industry events

• Interact with and provide briefings for press and analysts



Reporting relationship and accountability



This position reports to the Vice President of Product Strategy



Qualifications



• Three (3) years of related virtualization technical experience

• Extensive experience with Microsoft technologies such as MS SQL, SharePoint, Exchange and Hyper-V

• Established blog or community visibility (twitter, MS TechNet, etc.)

• Experience with public speaking

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain all activities, projects, requests, documentation, timelines etc

• Excellent English communications skills (verbal and written)

• The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
