My client is a respected and stable business within a busy and enduring sector in Australia. This company is part of a large global group and have a successful Australian division whose head office is based in the western suburbs of Melbourne. They are looking to recruit a pricing and commercial analyst which has become available due to an internal movement within the team.
This busy and varied role would suit someone who has gained some experience within general accounting but has undertaken more commercially focused work such as pricing, tenders, costing and analysis. Your role will report into the finance manager and will focus on price analysis and updating pricing models, margin analysis, cost accounting, assisting the sales and marketing with tenders and pricing, month end reporting and variance analysis. You will have strong Excel skills (pivots , v look up etc) and will work with pricing and cost models . You will also be able to manage large volumes of data and identify any problems or discrepancies with the data.
Suitable applicants will have some relevant experience in accounting and analysis and will enjoy working in busy, commercially focused teams. Excellent communication skills are also essential for this role as you will need to engage with stakeholders across the wider business and will need to communicate and present information to non finance people.
