Our client, a leading transport and logistics provider are currently seeking an experienced .Net Developer (with web skills) to join their IT and Software development team. The role is available due to organic growth and expansion within the IT team and need for addition software skills in house for a number of ongoing projects.



Working closely with the IT director on a number of new projects the successful candidate will be responsible for taking the lead of a number of new software development initiatives within the organisation.



With an ongoing need to be at the cutting edge of industry technology within the business, there are a number of new applications being built and projects ongoing, such as the development of a new website and warehouse automation system.



Main skill set will be VB.NET and/or ASP.Net, C#, SQL etc, but we're also looking for some web development skills in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 etc. Obviously any experience within logistics or 3PL would be an advantage. We need a strong communicator, written and verbally, plus the ability to liaise within the business internally, sometimes at a very senior level.
