This client, a non-for-profit organization delivers a high quality level of health care in Queensland. They are looking for a Medical Coder to join their team in their Mackay's institution.



You will be assisting the Medical Record Department ensuring patients' privacy and confidentiality. You will be responsible of designing, planning, implementing and controlling the medical record system as well as maintaining, reviewing and evaluating medical records standards. You will also undertake collection of hospital health statistics for government and administrative purposes.



As the ideal candidate, you will have an ICD-10-AM/ACHI/ACS clinical coding qualification and previous experience in a similar role. Having sound knowledge of clinical indicators, casemix and quality improvement will see you stand out for this position.



You will have a good understanding of medical terminology and the Microsoft office suite. You will show excellent time management skills as well as brilliant communication skills.
