Local Service Control (LSC) Team Member

I am currently recruiting for a permanent vacancy based in Cambridge (on the outskirts with free car parking available)
This role is permanent and full time and would be 8-5pm with 1 hour lunch break. The role is ideally seeking candidates who can start on a temporary to permanent basis on the 16th July.
Job Description
This role has the responsibility for processing and notifying works in adherence to requirements. Liaising with delivery managers where necessary, the team will facilitate all works delivered.
Key functions of the team are:- Noticing works in adherence with requirements. - Monitoring current activities and responding to change -Request, collate and provide Public Utility Returns. Reporting against operational targets
Responsibilities: The team will develop, update and communicate the programme of works to meet delivery targets agreed with delivery managers through effective programming and appropriate communication with delivery teams. Key responsibilities of the team will include:·Implement works programmes provided by delivery managers challenging where appropriate.·Update Inform bespoke systems to reflect the above works programmes allocating resource and deploying to gangs through Inform mobile.·Monitor activity against programme liaising with delivery managers and supervisors updating the programme where necessary.·In liaison with delivery managers revise programme and reallocate resources in response to change including availability of resources, changing priorities, weather conditions, response to emergencies and other changes.·Respond to requests for Utilities plans from delivery teams and County Council Officers·Respond to emergency defects that are reported and arrange for repair crews to attend·
All members of the team will meet the following requirements:·
Good general IT skills are essential, and ideally you'll be proficient in MS Excel, Outlook and familiar with web based mapping systems·
A keenness to master new systems and processes and contribute toward improvements by challenging "the way things have always been done" and voicing ideas·
Effective communicator both written and verbal. ·
The ability to develop excellent relationships with contacts at all levels - from the client to colleagues and contacts across the wider Skanska organisation. ·
A team player able to deliver assigned tasks autonomously within a defined framework.·
A proactive approach to addressing issues and willingness to go the extra mile · Able to work flexibly to ensure continuity of delivery by operational staff.
In addition to the above the lead scheduler should have the following skills:· Experience in effective programming of construction or maintenance works, preferably in the highway maintenance industry. · Effective team leadership capabilities. · Ability to influence to get the best from everyone.

Excellent communication skills - verbal and written - to ensure clarity in all situations and to effectively influence decision making.
