An opportunity for a Process Engineer with CHPP production experience has arisen to commence a contract with a leading global coal mining company. As one of the world's largest mining groups' their high demand for production targets to be met has resulted in this immediate need for an experienced CHPP Process Engineer for a short term contract throughout the Christmas break. This contract position offers an immediate start, consisting of a 4:4/4:2 roster with camp accommodation provided. This position is ongoing, on site in the Bowen Basin Region and is only open to residents of Brisbane, as it requires a FIFO arrangement. Candidates must reside within 100km of the Brisbane airport to be eligible for the role.



As the Engineer reporting in to the CHPP Superintendent on site, your main responsibilities will be within the management and supervision of the operational and technical staff, along with the management of the laboratory contract. You will plan, monitor and optimise production of the CHPP, as well as conduct the metallurgical test work to ensure improvements are made according to the production targets required. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience in CHPP Process analysis and improvement and results associated with production and quality targets achieved.



To be successful in this role you will have a relevant degree in process or Metallurgical Engineering, as well as previous extensive CHPP leadership exposure, within open cut coal mining. You will have proven successes working as Engineer within the CHPP, as well as hold a current Standard 11 induction and a current Coal Board Medical within 24 months in order for an immediate start. This role has an immediate requirement so all applications will be processed in a matter of urgency.
