Do you obsess over user experience and getting the details right? Are you passionate about inventory management, data analysis, and supporting successful software engineering operations at Apple? If so, the SWE Hardware Distribution team is in search of a motivated Software Developer who is self-driven and has a proven track record in ground-up design and development of both web and mobile applications. The candidate should have a passion for inventory management and data analysis, be innovative and possess strong technical and communication skills.



Key Qualifications

• ▪Strong object oriented programming and design skills


• ▪Experience designing and implementing browser-based user interfaces using AJAX, ReST, and/or JSON.


• ▪Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills


• ▪Experience creating large-scale inventory management tools

Description



In this role you will be expected to be equipped with excellent skills in object-oriented software design and programming, and to have real-world experience creating applications for inventory processing, analytics and management. You will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining existing code, fixing bugs and contributing to overall design. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Ruby, JavaScript, and HTML and will have a sound understanding of modern, scalable web architectures. Experience with Objective-C, ReSTful API design and Angular JS a plus.



Education



BS in computer science or equivalent industry experience



Additional Requirements



Additional Success Factors:



- Knowledge of Ruby, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Objective-C

- Knowledge of Apple’s development APIs (Cocoa Touch, Cocoa, CoreFoundation, CoreGraphics, etc)

- Experience shipping consumer oriented inventory management products

- Familiarity with RESTful Web Service APIs

- Experience with test-driven development

- Relational Database experience with one of the following SQLite, MySQL, Postgres or Oracle a plus
