Junior Build Manager

United Kingdom, GB - Information Technology and Services

As part of a multi-disciplined team, the Junior Release Manager is responsible for ensuring that releases delivered into all controlled environments are assessed, planned, scheduled, documented, authorised and that the content is known, agreed and of suitable quality. In addition they will action, manage and monitor those deliveries.



The Junior Release Manager duties are to include:



Work with the Senior Release Managers to actively plan, schedule, co-ordinate and manage with Programme Managers, Project Managers, Testers, Configuration Managers, ATS Team Leader, Build Managers, Business Users, Implementers, Data and System Administrators to ensure scheduled releases are delivered within time, cost and quality constraints.



Ensure environments are up to date by advising and offering baselined configurations to appropriate Environment Owners



Work with the Senior Release Managers to produce, agree and maintain Release Plans, Release Notes, Content and Delivery Notes, Baseline Release Schedules and supporting documentation with the appropriate Release stakeholders



Organise and attend Release Boards, ensure Release is suitable to take to the Board



Prepare and distribute Summary and Signoff documents to Release Board members



Work with the Senior Release Managers to present the Release to the board and obtain authority to deploy



Perform analysis in order to respond to Contractual Obligations, Incident Reports, Requests for Change, Defect Reports, Project Assigned Work or project deliverables



Provide an evaluation of the viability, practicality and resource requirements of the proposed changes, for ATS Team Leader, Senior Release Managers, Project Manager and Change Management



Ensure all Changes are analysed, addressed, recorded & resolved in a timely manner



Work with the ATS Team Leader to identify and document Project Service Acceptance for the ATS Group.



Plan, coordinate and assist chair of post go-live fallout meetings.



Ensure Incident Reporting is monitored post go-live.



Assist Senior Release Manager to prioritise any fixes in warranty and where necessary organise scheduled and Emergency fixes to Live.



Document successes and issues for Lessons Learned meetings, coordinating all responses for the ATS group.



Assist Environment Managers with the creation and maintenance of environments as directed.



Job Requirements



Essential / Minimum Criteria



· Experience of incident, change and problem management



· Capable of articulating the precise nature of any given situation appropriately to the target audience whether technical or non-technical



Experience of service acceptance management
