Join a busy and productive team within the Federal Government as an experienced and high performing APS 6 Communications/Media Officer. This is a 6 month opportunity, requiring an immediate start.

As a member of the Communications team, you will posses previous experience in coordinating and managing all facets of communication, including developing, implementing and evaluating communication strategies, drawing on knowledge and experience of brand management, design and production, advertising, PR and online and social media communications.

This role will also require you to develop media and issues management strategies, manage media enquiries, coordinate responses to ongoing issues and develop pro active media tools. Hence, we are seeking someone with strong liaison and interpersonal skills as you will be required to manage relationships with a range of stakeholders, including providing media monitoring services to the Minister's Office.

You will hold excellent writing and editing skills and have the ability to work well under pressure as additionally, you will be responsible for producing various communications products such as; media releases, articles, publications, reports, social media and web content, speeches and talking points.

A current Baseline Security Clearance is desirable, but not essential.
