Internal Audit Assistant Vice President

Hong Kong, HK - Accounting

This person will work closely with peers in Asia Pacific and other regions. The bank's core business in Asia Pacific is in Corporate Banking, Investment Banking, Merchant Banking, Wealth Management and Asset Management, as well the corporate division.

This person will be responsible for performing risk assessments of Wholesale businesses and Compliance and Legal functions. Leading audits and "enhanced continuous monitoring" reviews, predominantly within Wholesale, Compliance and Legal, and working closely with IT Audit on integrated audits. Identifying emerging business risks, drafting and reporting audit findings promptly to line and senior management and suggesting practical and innovative solutions.



Requirements:

* This person e should be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge of the investment banking businesses, and must be able to understand the basic economics and complexity of different traded products.

* Pro-active approach, the willingness and ability to take responsibility for project and issue completion, and the ability to multi-task are essential.

* The candidate must be fluent in English and possess strong communication and analytical skills.

* The candidate is expected to have an accounting or quantitative background, a professional qualification or at least 5 years' business audit experience at an investment bank or similar financial services institution. Some international experience is preferred.
