Procurement Manager

A leading international construction/civil engineering company are seeking a Procurement Manager for their commercial bid function.



The role reporting to the National Procurement Manager is responsible supporting the commercial function by providing supplier frameworks, costings and feasibility to underpin large scale infrastructure bids.



The Procurement Manager will have the ability to work within a dynamic integrated bid team and supports the development of all aspects of bidding and post contract award solutions.

They will work with the National Procurement Manager to develop project procurement strategies and identify, select and manage strategic partners.

The Procurement manager will also be responsible for leading subcontract and major supply pre-let meetings and close out strategic tender and contract negotiations.

A critical aspect will be to commercially assess risk associated with Supply Chain ensuring suppliers are robust and capable of timely delivery and to budget.



The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in construction/infrastructure procurement within a large scale construction/civil engineering organisation.

Candidates will need an understanding of industry standard contract forms e.g. NEC, JCT etc and be able to demonstrate experience of their use on large-scale projects.



In additional to the technical experience candidate will also need to be commercially minded, focussed on cost and delivery with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to present to senior stakeholders.
