The role of Technology Security Project Manager  will be a key position within the Group Technology, Security team in  Newbury (UK).

 

The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of one or more projects that specifically relate to Technology Security.  Ensure that any projects under their control are appropriately scoped and have a clear delivery approach defined, taking into account any phasing, planning, quality, cost, risk or resource constraints which may apply.

 

The Project Manager will provide continuity at a project level in terms of direction and leadership from capture of requirements through to final implementation.  He/she shall ensure that the outcomes are delivered on-time and to budget.  The Project Manager has the overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a variety of Technology Security Projects.  Key responsibilities include creating clear and attainable project objectives, building the project requirements, and managing the constraints of the project management triangle (cost, time, scope, and quality) whilst meeting (and where possible exceeding) the expectations of both internal and external stakeholders.

 

In addition, the Project Manager will act as a key advocate for Technology Security within the business, promoting the adoption of common requirements/solutions and promoting security best practice when coming into contact with Vodafone colleagues worldwide. The Project Manager will be required to operate effectively in a dynamic and constantly changing environment, in which people and stakeholders need to be actively engaged depending on the phase of the project.

 

As Technology  Security Project Manager  your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Ownership of the end to end delivery of Technology Security projects across Group and Local Market boundaries through active leadership and engagement at a project level
  • Ensurance that projects have clear requirements and that time, cost and quality parameters are accurately defined
  • Effective project level governance and reporting requirements are adopted in relation to delivery
  • Maintainance strong relationships with cross functional and virtual team members to facilitate effective delivery
  • Establish and maintain project risk/issue logs to identify areas that may pose a threat to the successful outcomes of the project
  • Forecast resource demand by reviewing project requirements and ongoing progress, making reasonable efforts to estimate what people and other resources are required to meet project success criteria
  • Accurately forecast project costs and manage the allocated project budget (including related scope control)
  • Provide an environment conducive to the mentoring, coaching and training apprentice PMs
