Head of Audit - Insurance (Finance, Commercial and Risk)

A UK based insurance group are are seeking a Head of Audit to head up their finance, commercial and risk team reporting directly in to the group head of audit. This company covers the entire UK general insurance sector and the audit function gains a huge exposure to all levels of the market and the risks facing insurance companies as a whole.

This internal audit position will be suitable for someone who is looking to progress their career and build more managerial experience by having direct line responsibility for a large team of internal auditors, from the junior level up to audit manager positions. You will influence the departments methodology and approach to audits, directly inputting audit strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

-Line responsibility for a team of internal auditors
-Reviewing all work undertaken on the testing of internal controls
-Implementing audit strategy in line with the annual audit plan
-Directly reporting to the Group Head of Audit for all work undertaken by your department

Ideal candidate:

-Previous managerial responsibility, auditing in the insurance sector

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to ensure the implementation of key strategic processes
  -Experience of auditing general insurance companies
  -Must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship
