HP WW Finance, Legal Tax and Statutory EMEA is seeking to identify highly motivated and qualified individuals for various future opportunities as Accounting and Compliance Lead for Hungary .

Mission

The Accounting & Compliance Lead ensures the integrity of HP’s financial and tax reporting and drives compliance with HP’s policies and local regulatory requirements.

Accounting, Controls & Compliance

• Enable and review the accounting books and records in accordance with US/Local GAAP and HP AFMs, and ensure a strong system of internal controls over the accuracy of financial reporting.
  


• As the Accounting and Compliance Leader of the country organization:
  
  
  
  
  • Ensure compliance with all local laws and regulations, HP policies and procedures, and HP’s standards of business conduct through strong oversight and active engagement on the country’s leadership team.
    
  
  
  • Ensure effective governance of the country organization, including integration of new entities acquired by HP.
    
  
  
  • Liaise with local government agencies on tax incentives/government funding awarded to HP and associated investment commitments, where applicable
    
  
  
  • Assist with converting management flash into legal entity view
    
  
  
  • Prepare the local legal forecast
    
  
  
  • Support pan-HP performance reporting when required (e.g., country reviews)
    
  
  
  • Support compliance programs and projects
    
  
  
  
  


• Fulfill E&Y, internal audit and external tax audit requirements
  


• Perform tax accounting inputs:
  
  
  
  
  • Pre-tax earnings forecast
    
  
  
  • ROVAC planning
    
  
  
  
  

Country Leadership Roles

• Manage the Accounting & Compliance team in the country.
  


• Proactively identify and mitigate business and financial risks in country.
  


• Own BCP (Business Continuity Plan) for Finance in the country
  


• Provide proactive leadership to address any “white spaces” that may arise in country.
  


• Participate and support the local Country leadership.
  


• Serve as country statutory director and country SBC liaison, as applicable
  


• Play the role of Finance site leader (when applicable).
  

Country Controllership Integrator with the Finance Horizontal Organizations

• Work with C&C, EFR, GBS, HPFS, Tax, Treasury and FS functions to optimize their support to Controllership and facilitate their function’s goal achievement.
  


• Continuously improve finance function effectiveness and efficiency towards the Finance Vision of One Time, One Team and One Trusted Partner.
  

Qualifications

Required education and experience:

• Advanced English knowledge in writing and speaking
  


• Accounting / Accounting / Economical university or college degree
  


• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as accounting manager
  


• Any experience as Statutory director is an asset in this position
  


• Leadership experience
