An employer, with a massive presence throughout the Prairies, is currently searching an aspiring Designer to join their young team. This firm has a massive portfolio of starter homes to larger custom homes and multi-family. They have built a solid reputation in the industry for craftsmanship, and with their varied portfolio allow this firm to stay extremely stable with a steady growth plan. With this position being in Edmonton, having local experience would be a great asset.



Reporting to the Vice Principal the Residential Designer will be an extremely important component for the firm’s growth plan. They will be joining a small team of other Designers in Edmonton, since this office is tasked with producing most of the designs for the other offices as well. This designer should have a residential drafting background, and will need to have at least a few years of experience within the design sector of the Residential industry.



Strong computer skills, specifically in AutoCAD, and a strong analytical understanding of home building will be crucial for the successful candidate, along with experience within residential drafting, design, a strong understanding of the current design trends and local market conditions, while being able to remain organized throughout the project process. This is a social team, and correct candidate must be able to communicate with the other drafters, the drafting team, senior management, and the sales team. This person should have at least 2 years of residential design experience; this would be an excellent position for any intermediate to senior designer searching for a new role and a growing firm.
