A major general contractor, with an outstanding reputation across the entire construction process is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead their Estimating department in Edmonton. Located throughout Canada and overseas, they are known for their innovative approach which has won awards and are considered an industry leader.
As the Lead Estimator you are required to diligently forecast job costs to determine resources for a wide variety of commercial projects. Projects will range up to $30M+ and you will be actively seeking to grow the operations while maintaining competitive profitability and ensuring quality standards. In addition you will review new bid announcements, drawings for project opportunities and coordinate with estimating staff, project managers, owners, general contractors, suppliers and appropriate sub-trades.
The job requires you to have 10+ years’ experience in a commercial construction estimating role. This is a demanding role that requires you to oversee multiple projects as well as ambitiously working towards upcoming projects. Your estimating expertise will allow you to start from a blank sheet and you will also posses a thorough knowledge of how corporate objectives impact on estimating strategies and techniques.
