An excellent opportunity has come up for a VP in Regulatory Capital Management to join a high performing bank here in Singapore. This is a brilliant role reporting directly to the Head of Regulatory Capital Management.



Sitting under the wider Financial Control umbrella, you will assist to monitor the bank's capital position and perform capital adequacy assessment on a regular basis. You will also evaluate and identify opportunities to improve efficiency of capital under Basel III regulatory guidelines and execute funding and capital raising strategies. You will also actively engage with regulators as needed on capital requirements for the bank and obtain approvals for funding and capital exercises. Lastly, you will monitor the regulatory environment and analyse developments that could impact the firm's capital position as well as assess the adequacy of funding programs and work with other departments including Treasury to develop optimal funding mix strategies.



The ideal candidate would possess a good university degree in Accountancy/Finance/Business or equivalent, with at least 6 years of relevant work experience with a financial institution. Proficiency in banking regulatory capital requirements under Basel III guidelines will be essential, as with strong analytical, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills in writing and presentation. You should also possess the ability to manage project work, and be self-driven and independent.
