Hays are recruiting a marketing and communications officer for an iconic Australian museum.



The purpose of this role is to implement and manage the marketing and communications plan for the 2014/2015 programme of events and campaigns to drive business and interest across two of the museums main attractions.



The position fits across three key areas of the museum: attractions, marketing and external relations. The position plays a key role in supporting each of these departments to extend the museum's reach, raise its profile, connect with regional communities and increase the museum's share of self-generating revenue through commercial projects.



You will be required to create and edit marketing collateral and signage that can be utilised for both existing and future campaigns. You will be working to grow new strategic partnerships and relationships across the museums target audiences.



To be eligible for this role you are required to have a Marketing or communications degree or equivalent. You must have knowledge across Marketing, Public Relations and Sales.

Working knowledge of government processes, arts and cultural institutions desired but not essential. You will have the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. You must be self-motivated and driven to achieve results. Excellent communication skills across written, visual and digital media are essential.
