An outstanding career opportunity exists for a passionate and innovative Payroll Professional, working for a well known and iconic New Zealand company, based in Porirua. This is a permanent, full time position that can offer great career progression and opportunities for the right person.



As an experienced Payroll Officer you will be working as part of a team, and responsible for providing an accurate and efficient end to end payroll service for approximately 450 permanent staff on a weekly and monthly basis throughout Australia and New Zealand. Your duties will also be to accurately maintain the employee payroll records as required, particularly for annual, sick, maternity and bereavement leave. You will also be responsible for responding to staff queries concerning their pay and related matters including superannuation, and weekly payroll filing.



As the successful Payroll Officer, you will have a minimum of 2 years experience in a full end to end payroll environment within a medium to large sized organisation, have demonstrated knowledge of payroll process and New Zealand payroll legislation and knowledge of Payglobal would also be an advantage.



You must be an effective communicator, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to display empathy, have exceptional attention to detail, be pro active, and with excellent time management skills. You must be able to work well independently as well as part of a team, be able to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and have the ability to use your initiative, sound judgement and discretion.
