8+ years industry experience as a Course/Instructional Designer Minimum Associate's degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, or related field; or equivalent experience developing training and/or communication pieces Experience with instructional authoring tools. Description


Manage the entire Discovery, Design, Development, Delivery, Evaluation in partnership with Design Leader and instructional design team Designs and develops courseware that supports the business in meeting strategic goals. Collaborates with key stakeholders to define course development guidelines. Interfaces with business subject matter experts for content validity to achieve desired outcomes. Researches and keeps abreast of evolving instructional design standards and innovations in the industry. Authors course content, storyboards, program collateral, marketing materials, and website content for appropriate levels of understanding. Design and develop a variety of individual, small group, and large group experiential exercises and activities that enhance learning and application. Executes training for job-specific tasks utilizing technology solutions. Create Implementation/Communication plan for all programs within scope of responsibility Responsible for hitting project milestones Track project and deliverables, regularly communicating status to Design Leaders and cross functional teams Responsible for facilitating and documenting results of post implementation review of project. Maintain awareness of and directs programs to align with current GRT and Apple Retail vision, priorities, focus and initiatives. Partner with Design Leader and appropriate stakeholders to collect and disseminate information that leads to the successful launch and sustainability of training programs. Partners with Design Leader, corporate & field colleagues to ensure training programs are culturally inclusive. Evaluates training curriculum effectiveness and proposes adjustments or new curriculum additions as needed. Participate in Market Support meetings and other projects. Education


Minimum Associate's degree in Instructional Design, Graphic Design, Interactive Media Design, or related field; or equivalent experience developing training and/or communication pieces



Job Summary


The Instructional Designer works collaboratively with the Global Retail Training team and business subject matter experts to design and deliver engaging learning interactions that enhance organizational performance, productivity, and organizational capabilities.
