Essential Job Functions



The candidate will be supporting SSC PAC customer as member of senior technical staff on a complex software engineering effort. He/She will be performing technical and/or operational requirements and evaluations of systems, procedures and processes, act as a proactive supporter and bridge between requirements, architecture, information assurance, security, systems engineering, software development and testing. Serve as a watchdog and troubleshooter in identifying weaknesses, analyzing risk and providing risk mitigation plans and processes in support of the end-to-end tasking and capability sought.

1) At least 6 years or more of analysis experience in a Command and Control (C2) Net-Centric Operations, Information Management and Decision Support system/application.

2)experience defining requirements and detailed designs for complex data link systems and/or data link test experience using appropriate test simulator systems (such as MLST3)

3) Possess extensive working knowledge of Data Link systems gained through extensive test and development experience and understanding of MIL-STD series such as: 6011, 6016, 6040, 6017, 6020, and 3011.



1) Experience with Multi-Link System Test and Training Tool (MLST3) or similar test system in a software development and test capacity

2) Experience with any o fthe following: Variable Message Format (VMF), Integrated Broadcast Service (IBS), Multi-Function Advanced Data Link (MADL), Gateway System (DLGS), or Tactical Targeting Network Technology (TTNT).

• Works in conjunction with the business development staff; creates new business by identifying customer purchasing requirements and technical specifications.
  


• Assists in defining and creating demonstration software and systems to showcase products and systems.
  


• Provides answers to customer inquiries concerning system software and applications, pre-sale and post-sale. Refers inquiries as necessary to appropriate personnel.
  


• Assists in testing user configurations for system compatibility. Documents and provides support; resolves issues to ensure that the system is functioning according to specifications.
  


• Interacts with engineering groups to assist in the design changes to equipment. Assists in tracking the progress of the projects with accountability to the customer, project manager and management to ensure an on-time and smooth product launch for the customer.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    
  
  
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field preferred
    
  
  
  • Three or more years of applications engineering, field support or technical sales experience
    
  
  
  • Experience working with department/account overall business objectives and goals
    
  
  
  • Experience working with operating systems
    
  
  
  • Experience working with software tools including compilers, assemblers, debuggers and simulators
    
  
  
  • Experience working with assembly languages such as HTML programming, MySQL, C, C++, etc
    
  
  
  • Experience working with business areas such as Sales/Marketing, Business/Financial Analysis, Project Management
    
    
    
    Other Qualifications
    
    
    
    • Prior military (Navy) experience is preferred
    
    • Very Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
    
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills for design, creation and testing of programs/systems
