This local government organisation is committed to improving South East Queensland through assessing and approving developments that will benefit the wider community.



This innovative and driven planning group are engaged in a broad range of park and open space planning projects across Brisbane's southern suburbs.



In this position you will be called on to represent the operations group at pre-lodgement meetings, provide key advice and direction for complex projects, assess Planning Scheme Policies, maintain the Schedule of works, network mapping and other relevant documentation.



Further responsibilities include the management of offsets and land dedication notices, property acquisition reports, parkland legislation, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders in regards to the impacts of planning projects on the catchments parklands.



Your previous experience in a similar role and extensive knowledge of development assessment processes and understanding or park management issues, will enable you to supervise and mentor a small team of park planning professionals, review work prepared by team members and ensure target milestones are met.



To be successful in securing this role, you will have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, Recreation Planning, Landscape Planning or Landscape Architecture which are accredited by either the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA) or the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA).



In order to hit the ground running in this contract opportunity with the potential to extend, you will have extensive experience in planning matters and the ability to effectively and concurrently manage a variety of tasks.
