Financial SQL Developer - DOD Security Clearance is Required

We are currently looking for an experienced Financial SQL Developer (FSA) to support the US Public Sector contract for the Navy Marine Corps (NMC). This position will be working out of Pontiac MI or Boise ID area. The candidate who fills this position will be a full time HP employee.



Specific Job Duties Include:



The NMC Financial Systems Analyst (FSA) serves as a trusted partner to the account financial leaders in the US Public Sector. This position will assume responsibility to provide business support to reporting tools that perform financial reporting of billing, outlook, and financial processes for recently awarded contract win of $1.16B annually.

• Candidate must apply intermediate level subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business/tool issues. Works on problems/projects with moderate complex scope.


• Exercise independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action.


• Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input.


• Follows established guidelines and interprets policies.


• Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.


• Candidate will work with contract account/project manager on financial plans to track on going performance against outlooks, load outlooks, and produce reports as necessary


• Perform billing related tasks, including invoice preparation, Incurred Cost Schedule preparation


• Provide costing and pricing support for new business deals


• Work closely with NGEN ABM Transition Lead and FAM to design/implement CSDR reporting requirements as specified in contract to support client reporting on SQL Developer/Production Servers.


• Administer Microsoft Access Database and prepare to migrate into SQL Servers


• Drive the implementation of a system solution from beginning to end and perform functional testing and troubleshoot applications


• Co-Leads financial system/process improvement or acts as a resource on a project


• Evaluates business requirements and scope, fit gap analysis, process design and reengineering to ensure design meets requirements


• Interacts with internal customers, examining low complexity issues or concerns to find a solution


• Researches resources to analyze new trends and solutions.


• Develops risk mitigation and fall back strategies.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Must hold a Secret security clearance (or have the ability to obtain one)

Education and Experience Required:

• Associate degree or first level university degree with recommended focus in finance or computer science.


• Typically 2+ years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

• Good understanding of financial systems and processes in at least one area.


• Good oral and written communication skills.


• Strong proficiency in Excel.


• Strong analytical skills.


• Intermediate understanding of accounting principles.


• Basic leadership skills.


• Basic project management skills.


• Basic project management skills for supporting projects.


• Ability to interact with systems users.


• Basic time management skills and ability to prioritize.
