Summary


We are looking for an experienced solution architect who will be responsible for leading the technical engagement of setting up our Big Data/Analytics CoE and taking technical ownership of the full lifecycle of service development through to delivery. In addition to the above you will be required to provide technical leadership into the governance of existing services, Product Recall and the Global Product Authentication Service working in conjunction with Product Mgt, Business Development and IT Service Delivery teams.


You will be responsible for providing technical leadership and significant technical direction when working with multiple entities across HP Software Professional Services to architect the platform, solution and technology requirements to deliver IT & Business Analytics Services, HAVEn Apps Development Services and HAVEn Software Integration capabilities to both internal HP Internal customers and external enterprise customers.


You are required to have demonstrated managerial leadership abilities to participate in service and business strategy development and provide leadership to implement technical strategies that will deliver the on our CoEs overall business goals and objectives. You will be expected to conduct research and formal assessments on emerging technologies that will always strive to expand our technical and service offer capabilities to ensure our CoE is seen as a strategic asset within HP from a technology and business innovation point of view.




Qualifications

Qualifications/Requirements:


• BS Degree (preferably Masters) in computer science, engineering, MIS or similar technical field is preferred OR equivalent experience.


Experience & Knowledge Required:


• 3 years of systems and technical architecture analysis, design, implementation, and support of manual and automated database systems and technical architectures.


• 2 years, or equivalent systems experience, as an ETL Architect and/or Senior Database Manager.


• Experience of designing and implementing large-scale data warehouse and business intelligence solutions.


• Big Data management using HAVEn (Hadoop / Vertica experience).


• Familiarity with Data Modeling and analytical tools and techniques.


• Familiarity with Visualisation tools such as Business Objects, QlikView


• Expert knowledge facilitating and hands-on experience in BI architecture and design, data flow diagramming, data warehousing and business intelligence, application and analytical reporting tools and techniques, service oriented data delivery, and global master data management programs.


• Has the ability to communicate and formally document all aspects of the job requirements.


• Experienced in playing a leadership and mentoring role in enterprise-wide ETL project assignments.


• Exhibits a high energy, strategic thinking, results oriented, global collaborative approach with highly tuned listening and communication skills.


• Domain Experience of one or more of the following industry verticals and/or fields: - Healthcare, Supply Chain, IT Mgt. & Governance


Responsibilities:


• Take ownership for, and drive the implementation of, the Technical Strategy for the HPS PS Big Data/Analytics CoE


Design and lead the development of Analytics solutions for HP Software PS customers

• Develop data governance strategy and controls to ensure consistency of data between various systems and components.

• Provide advice and present on solutions for business intelligence and data warehousing activities including reporting, data analysis for stakeholders at different levels within the organization.

• Document and develop key ES Business Subject Areas

• Design solutions and Contribute to other design activities.

• Applies in-depth or broad technical knowledge to maintain one or more technology areas (e.g. Oracle / MS SQL Server, Vertica database concepts).



• Designs solutions for others to code. Participates in cross-functional teams.

• Conduct research and formal assessments on emerging technologies in support of systems and recommends technologies that will increase effectiveness and flexibility

• Leads design activities, provides mentoring and guidance to other developers.

• Demonstrates technical leadership, and exerts influence outside of immediate team.

• Develops innovative team solutions to complex problems. Contributes to strategic direction for teams.

• Integrates technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for HP and customers.

• Participates as a member of development team or teams.


Business Requirements:


Above average interpersonal, communication and presentation skills - must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide and non-technical audience to both internal entities and external customers within a pre-sales support role.


Contributes to business strategy development and delivery and implement supportive technical strategies to deliver on overall CoE Goals and objectives.


Self-starter, with a keen interest in technology and highly motivated towards success.


Ability to work in fast paced innovative environment
