Global SEO Analyst

San Francisco Bay Area, US - Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Consumer Electronics

Apple Retail Online is looking for a seasoned SEO professional with a strong brand orientation and focus on user experience. The Global SEO Analyst will work closely with the Global SEO Manager to concept, socialize and plan new organic search initiatives to enhance customer driven experiences for Apple Retail Online. The Global SEO Analyst will embed deeply into analytics and keenly follow search engine technology changes to unearth opportunities for organic search growth, as a way to improve the customer journey from search engines.



Key Qualifications:

•A broad understanding of search engine trends and search engine algorithms worldwide is required. The right candidate will have a proven track record in implementing successful SEO strategies for a premium brand and driving content projects from a business and customer experience point of view through the development cycle.

•Skills:

••Deep knowledge of SEO practices and tools. Knowledge of other online marketing channels a plus.

••Experience working on projects for a premium brand.

••Proven ability to foster new ideas, cultivate concepts, and guide concept development with a focus on customer experience at every stage.

••Expertise to work with engineering to find the most efficient solution for technical hurdles.

••Outstanding verbal, written communication and presentation skills. Engage in high quality discussions to gain buy in from key stakeholders.

••Highly motivated with ability to thrive in a fluid, demanding, fast-paced environment

••Experience with web analytics and customer intelligence tools such as Omniture and Hitwise.

••Experience with SEO analytics and reporting tools such as BrightEdge. Experience managing high quality dashboards with a goal to broadly communicate weekly performance and insights.

••Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, structured data markup, canonical tags, HTTP headers and response code redirects

••Strong strategic thinking skills with solid problem solving skills

••Proven ability to execute in a matrix environment

•Qualifications and Experience:

••Minimum 3-5 years experience in SEO

••Bachelor’s degree required, MBA highly desirable

••Proven track record of successfully defining and delivering complex projects with superior ROI, from business case through deployment

••Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment where ambiguity and short turnaround schedules are the norm.

••Global SEO experience a plus

••Must exhibit high degree of ownership and accountability.


Description:

-Research and test new SEO initiatives to enhance customer experience for users beginning their search on search engines worldwide.

-Build models to estimate the business and customer experience impact of these initiatives. Propose new reports and tools to measure impact using a variety of in-house and proprietary tools.

-Engage with product management and site experience teams on content projects: images, videos, and community content, to optimize content for improved customer journey and search engine algorithms.

-Provide recommendations for new content with a focus on improving the Apple customer journey on search engines. Communicate strategy, proposals and impact analysis to product management, customer experience, publishing, and engineering teams.

-Set up a process to collaborate with design, publishing and Marcom on new content projects, to ensure SEO compliance, while at the same time developing a keen understanding of brand considerations. Streamline current processes and operating guidelines to adapt to future business needs.

-Provide guidance on optimizing content updates to enable search engine users find the most updated information on Apple Retail Online.

-Support Global SEO program managers with ad-hoc and quarterly market and industry analysis requests.

-Ensure SEO playbook is updated with the latest research and POVs from the COE, regional program managers and product managers. Expand research on specific topics in the SEO playbook.

-Identify new technologies and skills to drive efficiency in day-to-day operations.

-Work with the Global SEO manager to host presentations on SEO successes and learning to cross-functional teams worldwide.

-Leverage new platforms and industry tools to enhance local search listings, with a focus on brand.

-Lead integration of competitor activity monitoring dashboards into weekly and monthly reports.


Education:

Bachelor's Degree required, MBA highly desirable
