Client Due Diligence Maker/Checker - Private Wealth Management

Hong Kong, HK - Banking

Our client, a global bank with unparalleled regional footprint, is currently revamping its strategy and seeking to boost up the effectiveness of its Middle Office. The bank is seeking a talented Client Due Diligence Maker/Checker to assist the Private Bankers of the bank.

Reporting to the Due Diligence team head in Private Banking, your role will entail close liaison with FO and BO alike to ensure account set-up issues for HNW/UHNW individuals are addressed in a timely and effective manner. You will be advising clients on AML/KYC requirements and highlight and educate the business on the risks that follow from the absence thereof.

This is a maker/checker-type of role and it will involve a lot of FO-facing, as well as strong prioritisation and organisational skills. Candidates with an eye for detail will be very successful - you will ensure strict adherence to the regulatory KYC rules and the bank's global procedures, while providing advisory input to the sales staff to help obtain client information where needed, run background investigations, and ensure all KYC reporting requirements are fully met and supported with accurate documentation.

You will come equipped with minimum 4 years of work experience in a dynamic Private Banking or Asset Management setting. Ability to multi-task and mitigate your internal stakeholders' interests is a must. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment are a must. Fluency in Cantonese and English are absolutely essential, and Mandarin is highly advantageous.

If this role suits your background and skill set, please send your resume today to Daria Rokk at daria.rokk@hays.com.hk or call today for a confidential conversation +852 2525 9926.
