Interim Directorate lead x 2

My client requires two interim Directorate Leads to undertake business engagement roles within the IT department alongside three permanent Directorate Leads. This is a senior role and the interim resources will report to the Head of IT.
The role holders will need to quickly establish a deep understanding of the business including;
* the business strategy and plans
* organisation structure
* organisation unit accountabilities
* processes, systems and information
The role holders will work with the business to elicit their priorities and how these can be supported by IT, and to generate stakeholder commitment to the IT Strategy, change programmes and key priorities.
Experience Required
Essential
* Several years' IT and business experience of operating at the most senior levels of large and complex organisations, with a proven ability to negotiate with, challenge and influence key stakeholders.
* Experienced project managers, with experience ideally gained in implementing large-scale transformational IT change programmes.
* Strong business acumen and an ability to apply strategic thinking
⢠Exceptional influencing and communications (written and presentation) skills, with a talent for turning complex management information into relevant, engaging, timely and valuable content for the most senior level audience.
⢠Able to communicate confidently in a bi-lingual fashion between the business and the IT technical teams
⢠Experience of building strong networks, and visible leadership skills with a proven ability to forge and manage positive and collaborative working relationships.
⢠Working to tight deadlines and performance targets; able to multi-task
⢠Self-motivated and able to work under minimum direction
⢠Expert knowledge of PowerPoint, MS project and Excel
⢠Collaborative style with both internal and external customers; team player with a flexible approach
⢠Experience of working across business functions and understanding differing operational constraints and demands
⢠Local Authority experience (i.e. experience of working with/within Directorates, knowledge of their key systems).

Role Deliverables
⢠Capture and manage Directoratesâ demand for new capabilities and services according to the current governance processes.
⢠Manage business demand for IT-driven change via the âfront-door processâ
⢠Work closely with the Strategic Business Partners and other key stakeholders to prioritise demand, based on strategic value and delivery of key business objectives.
⢠Define and document the business requirements that will counter the gaps between the current and desired business capabilities required to support the Directoratesâ Business Plans, in liaison with the Directoratesâ process owners
⢠Undertake proactive business engagement, and build effective senior level relationships with the key stakeholders in the business, Corporate Communications and IT
⢠Deliver, and ensure, timely, accurate and regular reporting of key IT projects/portfolio messages.
⢠Communicate IT service offerings available and the benefits of exploiting these to support the Directoratesâ business plans.
