Position Summary:
Overall Responsibility:
The Analyst, Supply Quality Assurance reports to the Manager, Supply Quality Assurance and is responsible for developing and executing Quality Assurance monitoring and tracking systems to ensure supply chain standards are met to protect the Burger King Brand. This position provides risk management support and risk analysis information for all products produced for BK restaurants in Asia.
Supervisory/Managerial:
This position has no direct reports but leads project teams. The Manager makes technical decisions and recommendations on issues affecting the department while receiving guidance from management.
Key Performance Indicators:
Food safety and quality excellence.
Key Interactions:
The Analyst interacts with manufacturers, third-party auditors, suppliers, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Innovation, and Franchisees to support Quality Assurance initiatives and respond to emergency situations.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Designs, develops, and implements Quality Assurance programs to track supplier quality performance and adherence to BKC and industry standards
- Prepare, process and manage documents for approval of new suppliers and products.
- Ensure that all suppliers and products used by the restaurants are approved.
- Manages and update the supplier database system.
- Prepare, review, and approves Quality Assurance documents and reports
- Supports the implementation of new product roll-outs by reviewing product builds and Operations procedures.
- Conducts food safety risk assessment for new and current menu builds.
- Manages the third-party service provider to ensure QA programs are executed based on plans.
- Coordinates and supervises quality calibration of BK Supplier Quality Assurance Managers in the APAC region.
- Activate and update the crisis management team on issues pertaining to food safety and quality.
- Reviews product complaints and restaurant issues to minimize negative product performance at the restaurant level
- Manages the department budget
- Creates and updates Quality Assurance manuals and audit tools
- Carries out audits of suppliers, if necessary.
