A NSW state government department is currently looking for a skilled Economist with a degree in Economics and a keen interest in social policy to join their team on an initial 3 month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team who offer a diverse skill set and exceptional ability to achieve team goals.

The key responsibility of this position will be to work with project teams across the agency to analyse and report on program performance in order to identify gaps and offer sound advice on recommendations for improvements.
The ideal person for this position will understand the specifics of social policy, be skilled at economic modelling and stakeholder engagement as well as the ability to offer sound and simple advice to senior management.

A tertiary qualification in Economics or a closely related degree is essential in order to be considered for this position.

Candidate's who have consultancy experience or have completed their MBA will be looked upon favourably as well those with human services experience and a behavioural economics background.
