This industry leading Peterborough based company are looking for an ambitious Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager to help drive their business forward. This newly created procurement role promises to be challenging, fast paced, and strategic with high levels of visibility and autonomy available. As it is a new position, there is scope to flex the role to suit candidate profile if cultural fit and core behaviours are in place so they are keen to appoint an ambitious procurement professional at either Senior Buyer or Procurement Manager level from either a commercial or public sector background.

As Procurement Manager / Senior Buyer across a range of both Direct and Indirect spend, you will be responsible for the strategic delivery and procurement of key categories within the business . Being able to develop key stakeholder relationships is key to the success of this position, in order to gain commitment and buy-in from all areas of the business.

To succeed in this Procurement Manager job you must demonstrate previous category experience and proven procurement expertise. Due to the complexity and wide-reaching element of this procurement role, you must have experience working with a multi-functioning team. Exposure to the end-to-end procurement cycle is key in order to gain maximum cost savings and efficiencies at every opportunity. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential with strong long-term career development opportunities available.
