Fund Accountant

Hays Accounting and Finance and their client, an investment firm located on the border of Mississauga and Etobicoke, are looking to hire a Fund Accountant for a contract position that will run for approximately 3 – 6 months. The Fund Accountant is being brought on to assist the finance team during the peak season, after a performance based review there is the possibility of extension or permanency.



As the Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with completing full cycle accounting including fund accounting, financial reporting, and fund and account reconciliations. As the Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for reviewing mutual fund and hedge fund information and assisting with the analysis for particular funds. As the Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant by completing ad hoc requests and projects in a timely and accurate fashion.



As the successful candidate, you will have advanced knowledge of Excel. As the successful candidate, you will have 1 – 2 years of experience working in an accounting capacity assisting with month end reporting, fund and trust accounting. As the successful candidate, you will have knowledge of mutual and hedge funds. As the successful candidate, you will have a degree or diploma in accounting.
