This federal government agency is looking to bring on board a Systems Administrator on an initial 3 month contract with a strong likelihood of a 12 month extension.

The successful candidate will play a leading role in the management of the organisation's server and storage infrastructure. This role will work with other systems administrators to ensure the ongoing delivery and improvement of a high performance ICT infrastructure and its core business applications. As the senior systems engineer in a small technical team you will: provide strong team leadership; act as technical support lead for virtualisation escalations from the service desk; create and update processes and procedures; as the SME, design, implement and document virtualisation and storage solutions meet business requirements; monitoring and managing virtualisation and storage infrastructure.

To be successful in this role, you must possess experience with: Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012 Active Directory and server infrastructure in a clustered WAN network; VMWare VSphere; Dell servers and storage, including Compellent Storage Area; Software, infrastructure and virtualisation monitoring; Backup, Disaster Recovery and High Availability solutions.
