Hays are recruiting a Strategic Events and Partnership Advisor for a Government department based in the Southerland area.



The primary objective of the Strategic Events and Partnership Advisor is to Identify existing sponsorship/event/exhibitions across the organisation and along with new opportunities create a cohesive framework for end to end management of the area.



The focus of this role will be to identify strategic areas that the organisation can play a role in via its research and commercial concerns as well as the political and broader community through innovative approaches via the sponsorship and events arena.



The Strategic Events and Partnership Advisor reports to the Communications manager. The position's key internal customers include all business and research areas as well as Human Resources. External customers include communities, research and innovation organisations. You will be required to Identify and capture all current activities such as events, exhibitions and sponsorships across the business in order to build a cohesive and constant profile for the organisation. You will need to identify all future / ongoing commitments across the business, establishing quality working relationships and ongoing communication with clients and other units across the business.



To be eligible for this role you will have experience in identifying, creating and managing strategic partnership opportunities. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills including an ability to liaise and negotiate at various levels within the organisation and externally as a representative of the organisation. The ideal candidate must have demonstrated the ability to effectively work as part of a team and engage with colleagues across the board to facilitate strong collaborative working relationships.
