FC/ CFO

Based in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne



My client is a profitable, forward thinking manufacturer / importer, with strong links in the construction and engineering sectors. They are committed to operational and procedural excellence and are looking for a hands on, commercially focused FC/ CFO to partner the MD and drive the performance of the business.



You will manage a small finance team and work with the MD and other operational managers to manage cashflow, prepare budgets and forecasts and effectively cost products and processes. You will also have tight control over statutory reporting, taxation and managing the year end audit process. This role will also see you step away from the "numbers" and influence operations, oversee HR and provide general management support.



The successful applicant will ideally have manufacturing experience and will definitely have experience of dealing with multiple currencies, hedging, FOREX and letters of credit. You will also have an excellent knowledge of statutory compliance, taxation and year end reporting, ideally this experience will have been gained from working for an accountancy practice. In your next role you will be looking for stability and to commit long term to a business. You will use your CA or CPA qualification to mentor and develop your team and maintain strict internal controls. You will manage risk, compliance and cashflow and also get involved in the hands on work of overseeing payroll and month end.
