A leading producer of specialty hydrocolloids, with a global presence serving over 100 countries, is extensively expanding their business worldwide. They have newly established a Centre of Excellence in Singapore and are currently seeking the right person to lead and inspire a team of scientists towards innovating world-class dairy beverage products.



Reporting to the Director of Customer Innovation sitting at Shanghai headquarters, you will continuously lead and drive the Diary Beverage Innovation in the new Centre of Excellence (COE) located in Singapore. This role will significantly impact the Asia Pacific growth of the company by spurring a team of high-caliber scientists to formulate innovative new beverage products and raise cutting-edge competencies and capabilities at the COE, bringing exciting new beverage products to the market. You will manage and prioritise mid to longer term research and development projects. You will also involve in high degree of interaction with various departments across the globe, managing relationships and information transfers in a highly dynamic, collaborative and matrix environment.



To succeed in this role, you will possess a post graduate university degree (Master or PhD), preferably in food and beverage science, dairy chemistry or equivalent. Strong understanding in rheological instrumentation and sensory analysis would be advantages. You will also have at least ten years experience in Hydrocolloid industry and proven outstanding achievements in managing a team for dairy or beverage product development. Excellent communication, people leadership and project prioritization skills are essential.
