Business Architect

A Business Architect is required to be responsible and accountable for defining, owning and championing the business architectural vision for my client.



This role is a critical element of the Enterprise Architecture and will be responsible for the definition of the business organisation, capabilities and operation. In addition the role is responsible for the development of business models and processes in conjunction with the senior business stakeholders and close liaison with Enterprise & IT architecture required to support the business architecture.



Key Responsibilities include



* Working directly with, and in an advisory capacity, business unit heads, their leadership teams and senior IT stakeholders

* Defining an approach, standards and methodology for the business architecture that is consistent with the Enterprise Architecture vision and standards

* Working closely with IT, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Marketing and Operations functions to define a roadmap for the business architecture



Key Skills



* A broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance

* The ability to apply architectural principles, methods, and tools to business challenges

* Experience developing and using these high-level models as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business

* Experience of organisational design, Business Process Modelling and large Business Change and improvement initiatives

* Experience of designing and implementing business process modelling / architecture using a variety of tools and techniques, e.g. BPMN



My client is looking for someone with;



* At least 5 years experience of Business Architecture and process improvement

* Formal process improvement training and experience, e.g. TOGAF or Lean Six Sigma equivalent

* Experience of working and business modelling in a retail, eCommerce or telecoms environment

* Good IT Knowledge and experience, including of software development techniques and processes

* Experience of business change management and project management techniques

* Experience of using Business Process Modelling Notation version 2 (BPMN v2)
