Finance Manager

Gloucester, United Kingdom, GB - Accounting

We currently have a requirement for an Interim Group Financial Manager for a niche client based in the idyllic surroundings of Gloucestershire. You will be required to oversee the smooth handover of duties within the business during a period of transition for a 6-12 month maternity cover. The successful candidate will ideally be qualified and have previous experience of working within a service industry that operates across multiple sites. It is anticipated the assignment will take approx.

· Monthly preparation of management accounts, cash flow reports and forecasting

· Production of monthly reports for budget variance analysis, producing meaningful commentary & analysis of financial data

· Working alongside key personnel for preparation of budgets for each business entity

· Reconciliation of balance sheet; including all control accounts and intercompany accounts

· Overseeing all aspects of financial control with the business including purchase ledger and credit control , stock control, bank reconciliations

· Administering financial control processes to ensure business costs are adhered to within each department

· Strict control of all overhead expenditure and where necessary, reviewing supplier contracts

· Completion of year end accounts to trial balance level, liaising with the external accountants to prepare statutory accounts

· Monthly preparation of Payroll for approximately 130 weekly/monthly paid staff employed

· Using Sage Payroll software and completing payroll year end reports

· Completing and submitting vat returns and EC sales lists

· Overseeing and preparing for external annual audits

· Some general personnel and HR duties primarily record keeping

· Involved in Key weekly/ monthly Sales analysis, and production of other KPI information

· Managing and developing small accounts team

· Ad hoc group projects as they arise
