Java/J2EE Developer (Recent Graduate)

United States, US - Computer Hardware, Computer Software, Information Technology and Services

Responsibilities:



· Contribute to design and development of web services for large scale, multi-threaded applications



· Hands on technical role; Contribute to all phases of the SDLC, including but not limited to analysis, architecture, design, implementation, and testing



· Developing TB per month scale web services predominantly in Java



· Deployment of web applications and tuning web/app servers



· Developing database scripts



· Writing the unit test cases and executing the tests



· Participate in design and code reviews



· Maintain high availability for application, and client support



· Work with cross functional teams including onsite and offshore



QUALIFICATIONS:



Education



· BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent



Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience in software design and development of highly scalable web based applications.


• Solid experience in Core Java development (API, Multi-Threading, Collections)


• Excellent knowledge of SDLC process, object oriented design and design patterns


• Experience with JBoss, Tomcat or other web servers/app servers


• Experience with Web service (REST/SOAP) implementations


• Understanding of client / server development tools, and database design


• Experience working with Cloud-based solutions is a plus


• Knowledge of Big Data technologies and the Hadoop ecosystem is a plus.


• Must be a team player and enjoy working in a cooperative and collaborative team environment


• Adaptable to new technologies and standards


• Strong verbal and written communication skills
