Junior Engineer
Dublin, 11 Month Contract


Our client is a semi state organisation in the energy sector. They are looking to appoint an Engineer to the Operational Services and Performance team.The role holder will be responsible to support and assist in the day to day operation and continued development of the area.With a minimum of 2-3 years post graduate/industry experience the role holder will have demonstrable project or work experience in a suitable organisation.



Key Responsibilities

* Forecast , Monitoring and Analysis of the Ancillary Services

* Identification of key cost drivers

* Assist in the development of Ancillary Services contracts to include co-ordinating and overseeing input from all sections

* Support day to day commercial and settlement activities associated with Ancillary Services processes

* Involvement in the procurement of new Ancillary Services as required

* Support annual Ancillary Services and Other System Charges consultation process as required

* Support day to day business reporting requirement associated in performance monitoring of units

Profile



Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential:

* A Engineering third level qualification or equivalent

* 2-3 years post graduate/industry experience

* Ability to manage/track numerous processes/contracts in a timely manner

* Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy

* Strong written and communication skills

* Strong time management skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative.



Desirable:

* Knowledge of power system operations

* Financial and commercial experience
