Candidate should have a subset of the skills below.
• Should have played the role of Senior Solution Architect in DC design involving different components which make part of the solution Software, Servers, Storage and Networking. Demonstrates ability to develop solutions that enhance availability, performance, maintainability and agility of customers DC, and applications running on it. Develops reusable solutions and workarounds that are innovative and demonstrate a deep technical knowledge of the affected products, processes, and the customer environment. Breadth of knowledge covers HP, third parties, competitors, and business drivers.
• Has demonstrated innovation and ability to communicate new offerings across multiple business units. Has led a cross functional team in the delivery of multiple solutions across multiple technologies.
• Demonstrates ability to represent the whole organization within a customer sales presentation, conveying the benefits of working with the business. Ability to lead production of proposals, working across departments, for complex customer solutions. Able to lead, coach and mentor others in consulting skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, detail oriented, responsible team-player and exhibit exceptional relationship management skills. Capability to adapt to changing environments.
• Should have strong knowledge of the technologies involved in DC design as well as the criticality off applications running on the infrastructure.
• Has performed troubleshooting across a number of significant multi-vendor products.
• Recognized as an advanced subject matter expert of Information Technology (IT) products, applied technologies and processes as well as combining vendor interoperability knowledge pertaining to complex IT infrastructures. May define interoperability issues between vendors’ products. Is a recognized expert in one or more technologies.
• Should be familiar with the design of Private Cloud solutions, either form HP or other vendors.
• OS management (including HTTP servers, App servers and DB): Windows Server, Ubuntu, IIS, JBoss, SQL Server, mySQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Opensource cloud solutions: OpenStack, Cloud Foundry, etc.
• Virtualization environments: VMWare, Hyper-V, KVM, etc.
• SDN OpenFlow
• Passionate about delivering best in class solutions including different components. In the case of this role this will involve HP products and services as well as key partners.
• Holds a vendor or industry certification in more than one discipline area.
• Ability to operate and present at all levels, and in public forums, to facilitate business discussions, and controls and leads those discussions.
• Demonstrates ability to develop and win new opportunities through application of consulting skills. Maintains and develops client engagements which are strategic.
• Ability to relate risks and challenges with other client efforts.
• Ability to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures. Ability to develop Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements to technologies.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed specification documents.
• Regularly leads large cross functional teams to include technical management of client staff assigned to implementation team in the completion of one or more solution requirements, architecture, or implementation deliverables.
• Provides advanced technical consulting and advice to proposal efforts, solution design. Provides consulting advice to customer senior Information Technology (IT) leadership and sets strategic direction for customers based on HP’s solutions and products.
• Provides the technical direction required to resolve complex issues to ensure the on-time delivery of solutions that meet customer expectations.
• Works with peers outside immediate organization to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and/or develops new solutions, yet works independently to drive technical problems to a solution.
• Design target architecture for Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) cloud solutions.
• Be part of a team working on the development of NFV solutions under tight schedules.
• Attend client meetings during the sales process and during development of the solution.
• Proactively engage with Clients suggesting innovative solutions, services and approaches to NFV which will deliver high-value.
• Determine appropriate architecture, and other technical solutions, and make relevant recommendations to clients.
• Design & development of cloud computing solutions to handle new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure.
• Regularly represents HP at industry recognized technical events.
Qualifications
Education and Experience Required:
- Experience in the Telco Background is a key asset, presales roles in companies supplying complex DC solutions to Telco companies would be very valuable.
- 12+ years of professional experience and a Master of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of study; without a Master’s degree, three additional years of relevant professional experience (15+ years in total).
- He should be fluent in English as his business language, this will be his main language of communication in the role and he needs to be perfectly comfortable with it and capable of driving technical or business conversations and presentations in this language.
