Finance Director

Exeter, United Kingdom, GB - Accounting

A specialist manufacturer in Somerset are currently recruiting a Finance Director. This is a key role and will play a vital part in the continuing growth of the organisation.



Reporting to the Managing Director, you will advise the board on all financial matters and be responsible for the running of the finance department.



Duties will include:



· Production of statutory accounts including liaison with auditors.

· Overview of all taxation returns including liaison with tax advisors.

· Production of monthly board reports including management accounts.

· Production of budgets/forecasts

· Ensuring that the company has appropriate internal controls and financial systems.

· Overall responsibility for the credit control function and for dealing with disputes at a higher level.

· Overall responsibility for the quarterly stock takes

· Ensuring that the company complies with all relevant tax and other legislation/regulations.



The Finance Director will also oversee the implementation of an ERP system so previous experience of this would be beneficial.



The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ICAS, ACCA, CIMA) with strong technical skills and a drive and energy to help move the business forward. You will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing / product based environment, ideally supplying into the construction industry. Strong communication skills are a must, with the ability to engage with other areas of the business.
