The Global Business Process Management organization is looking for a highly motivated, committed and energetic early career program manager to drive multi-disciplinary business improvements and coordinate and track critical projects and programs.



Business Process Management (BPM) is the optimization of a company’s performance through continuous process improvement :

• It aligns to the company strategy, driven by the wants and needs of Customers & Partners

• It promotes business effectiveness and efficiency while striving for innovation, flexibility and integration with technology

• It is an end to end view using tools and methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma



The Global BPM organization is driving transformational improvement across HP businesses. The program manager will support this change process by providing project management and tracking framework and communicating consolidated status updates to executive stakeholders.



Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues. Works on problems/projects of moderately complex scope. Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. Follows established guidelines and interprets policies. Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.



Key Responsibilities:

• Own the BPM Plan of Action (POA)

• Provide full visibility of transformational projects in a consolidated view

• Ensure all relevant projects are accurately logged and tracked with objectives, owner, budget, timeline, key metrics, etc

• Refine and optimize the project portfolio management process and effective report out

• Work with project owners to collect and consolidate updates

• Consolidate and effectively communicate status updates to executive audience on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis

• Flag business risks and trigger corrective actions

• Act as a key interface to the IT organization; ensure full alignment of business and IT POA

• Ensure BPM project management standards are consistently met across all projects in the portfolio

• Act as a project manager and contributor for large, cross-division projects that affect the organizations long-term objectives.




Qualifications

Qualifications:


• Proven track record in project management

• Experience in program and portfolio management

• Demonstrated financial acumen

• Applied knowledge of financial and business metrics

• Ability to translate process-related measures into financial and business impact

• Excellent organizational and project management skills

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work on tight deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options

• Ability to think strategically

• Strong interpersonal skills

• High energy and enthusiasm

• Proven self-starter

• Strong attention to detail



Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field (Business Administration, Engineering, etc)

• Typically 2-4 years experience in similar positions

• project management certification such as PMP/PMI certification preferred.

• Lean Six Sigma or other Quality certification preferred.
