The mandate of the company is to discover or acquire Tier 1 resources in China through the effective application of Geoscience techniques and processes.



To support their fast-growing business, they are actively looking for a technical expert to join their Geoscientist team. Reporting to Principal Geoscientist, you will be responsible for project generative activities in China - target and project evaluation, data interpretation, area selection and target generation etc.



As the successful applicant, you need to have an advanced understanding of a spectrum of geoscientific disciplines covering regional geological knowledge, structural geology, geochemistry and ore deposit models. A good understanding of the application of techniques pertinent to early stage exploration including area selection and target testing is also a prerequisite. At lease 5 years'experience within the mineral exploration sector in East Asia/China or within a postgraduate research position with exposure to relevant geoscientific technical and geographical areas. You also need to have extensive experience in working with GIS systems, vector and raster data formats.
