If you join Accenture you can make great ideas happen for some of the world's most dynamic companies - interested?The Application Strategy service line assists clients in assessing their application estate, defining the target state application landscape (architecture), and producing the business case and roadmap to optimise and modernise the applications.


The consultant will be responsible for developing this overall application strategy. Implementation of the strategy will usually require significant involvement from the consultant in driving forward the resulting Application Modernisation initiatives and projects, in which the Accenture teams work with the clients architecting solutions and delivering projects in the field of Legacy Application Renewal, covering the full range of renewal and transformation technologies relating to legacy applications.Within this specialty, consultants possess an open, adaptable and technology agnostic mindset.


Drawing on a good understanding of technology with broad experience of application development, application architecture, application management and production operations, they will have broad awareness of the application estate and its functional & technical fitness to business vision and strategy, portfolio management throughout the lifecycle of applications, and financial assessment and business case to build, modernise, and maintain a fit-for-purpose application estate cost-efficiently.


The consultant will support business-aligned colleagues in pre-sales and post-sales activity and will assist them in shaping the application estate assessment and application modernisation approach, developing options and making recommendations.


Candidate will be responsible for leading teams delivering the recommended approach.



  • You will possess a good quantitative or numerical degree from a leading university or have equivalent experience

  • All candidates must be willing to be London or Manchester based, but offer full mobility (i.e. prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday as required)

  • Previous relevant experience working in team or project based design and/or architecture environment within a large development program.






£68,000 -£87,000 + Benefits
